Stylish Stay in the Heart of Whitby
A charming experience with a beautifully styled room and a spacious en suite bathroom. Positioned perfectly for exploring town on foot, making sightseeing a breeze. Breakfast pleased, though a quieter ambiance might enhance it further. Don't miss the local attractions nearby!

The location of Sherlocks Lodgings really stood out for me. it's so close to the town centre, making it easy to explore. The quirky decor in the building added character, and the Deluxe King Room was cozy. I appreciated the funky book-lined breakfast room where meals were served. Breakfast had a great variety, although the timing was a bit restrictive. I encountered some issues with cleanliness in the bathroom, particularly with toothpaste splashes and some dust. The steep stairs leading to the rooms were challenging. the handrail needed improvement as it felt unsafe to hold at times. The noise from the kitchen early in the morning was a bit disruptive, but the overall vibe of the place made up for it. Friendly staff were a plus, though the check-in process was a bit confusing due to the early closing of the coffee shop.

central location, quirky building, nice decor
Stairs leading to the rooms are narrow and steep, making them a challenge for anyone with mobility issues!!! Cleanliness needs attention—dust and splashes in the bathroom were disappointing!!! Kitchen noise can disrupt early mornings.

The truth, what’s good and what’s not
The location was perfect, allowing easy access to explore nearby attractions. The staff were exceptionally friendly, and breakfast featured exceptional coffee and delightful baked goods!
The themed decor felt a bit overwhelming, and the coffee shop's early closing could be inconvenient for late risers.

The steepness of the two flights of stairs was a real challenge, particularly without a proper handrail, and could pose mobility issues for some. I noticed a lack of cleanliness, with toothpaste splashes on the bathroom wall and some dust, which detracted from the overall comfort. the noise from kitchen staff at early hours and the late breakfast service created some disruption, although the location was vibrant with nearby activities.
